Her local presence around the Central Coast has not stopped there, she currently wears many hats at a winery in Santa Margarita, California. Ancient Peaks is so very lucky to have Trabue as their Hospitality Supervisor. While she helps hold wine-tasting web seminars for A.P.'s wine club members, she also educates fellow tasting room associates about many wine varietals.
As seen on her social media, Trabue's presence in the wine industry is slowly growing to show a very positive impact. As a strong advocate for a diverse community, she has helped create an organization that offers scholarship opportunities to Black, Indigenous and people of color students. With the help of her colluege, Simmone Mitchelson, have convinced many donors to help contribute to a program that better represents the demographics of the United States.
Justin passionately believes that the diversity in the wine industry is important and a factor worth acknowledging and embracing. The scholarship she promotes is available to any BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) Cal Poly students who are part of the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences who also show interest in pursuing a wine industry career.
As she participates in many web seminars that speak and advocate for a diverse community in this industry, she shows promising endeavors as a local influencer. As I dive into her social media presence, I first notice her very sophisticated yet vibrant biography and profile on Instagram. She states her passions and occupations with a professional lens. Although this is her personal account, she further offers the public a link that leads them to her nonprofit organization she is currently trying to expand and bring awareness to. Natural Action Wine Club is one of Trabue's many projects that is working to fight for equality. I am so fortunate to work with this individual at Ancient Peaks. As a Tasting Room Lead Associate, I assist her with many duties and responsibilities like managing our tasting room, serving wine to our club members and guest, and counting inventory.
